Any procedure is not without risk and should not be entered into lightly please visit the British Spinal Association website at www.spinesurgeons.ac.uk and click on the link to PATIENT INFORMATION BOOKLET down load the brochure relevant to the procedure you are contemplating and then please call my secretary to arrange a consultation to discuss any issues in this regard prior to consenting to surgery. If you do not have access to the printer please contact my secretary and she will send the material to you by mail. The brochures also give general information on a procedure, what to expect during the surgery, inpatient stay and going home.
